Note: If you are currently running any v.9 of PhotoOne, follow the instructions below to upgrade your PhotoOne Software. If you are currently running any v.8 or less version of PhotoOne, please call Technical Support for assistance at (888) 428-2824 (x102). To determine which version of PhotoOne you are currently running, open PhotoOne and look in the top left-hand corner; you'll see PhotoOne and then a series of numbers. Those numbers indicate the version you are running.
1. If you process credit cards through PhotoOne you will need to close your batch prior to upgrading.
2. You will need to be sure that PhotoOne is closed everywhere in your studio.
3. If you do automatic backups to PhotoOne or to a drive in your studio, please go to the computer where you set the automatic backups and follow the three directions below. If you don’t have an automatic backup in place, skip to step 4.
a. Execute a ctrl-alt-del and bring up the Windows Task Manager.
b. Click on the "Processes" tab and then click on the "Image Name" column header, which will alpha-sort the processes running on the computer.
c. Locate ticktock.exe (for backups) and end the process.
4. If you send out automatic emails (Appointments, Session Reminders, etc.) or send out marketing material, go to the computer where you set up p1mon.exe to run and follow the directions below. If you don’t have any automatic emails in place, skip to step 5.
a. Execute a ctrl-alt-del and bring up the Windows Task Manager.
b. Click on the "Processes" tab and then click on the "Image Name" column header, which will alpha-sort the processes running on the computer.
c. Locate p1mon.exe (for emails) and end the process.
5. After reading the rest of the instructions, click the back button on your browser to return to the main page.
6. "Go to the Downloads link above and select Upgrade. If you have forgotten your user name or password, please click the "Forgot Password" link and we'll email you your login information.
7. Once logged in, note the installation password, click on the PhotoOne logo, and when prompted, select to Save It, and save it to your desktop. Once the download is complete, double click on it.
8. Follow the on-screen wizard; select to UPGRADE PhotoOne and once the upgrade is complete, restart the computer that had ticktock.exe and/or p1mon.exe running on it.
