I use LightRoom for most stuff now as it’s 64 bit with Leopard (Mac) and I find it quite intuitive. CS4 is for very heavy lifting. I wish LR had SoftProofing and that nice moveable loupe like Aperture… but I like LR much more than Aperture.

I actually have most of my images in iPhoto as they are easy to organize… but I export the good stuff from iPhoto and into LR which keeps my LR catalog files to a manageable size….

In my opinion, the poll does not as the question correctly.

My definition of “edit” may not be the same as everyone else. When I am ‘editing’ photos, I am making changes to those photos (like editing a book, I am modifying the contents). The tool of choice for me to “edit” my photos is Photoshop.

But judging by the list of software in the poll, I don’t think that was what you meant by “edit”. So I selected Lightroom, because Lightroom is the software I use to manage my raw files, to select my favorites and to process them …. all in preparation to later “edit” (in Photoshop) any of those images that go to print.

So I process my files with Lightroom, and I edit them with Photoshop.

This poll is structured so choices are mutually exclusive. It would have been better to be able to vote for multiple options. If not that, it would have been good to ask what the preferred or primary tool is.

While I voted for ACR above. I also use Photoshop + Bridge. ACR for initial adjustment of RAW files and Photoshop for any necessary layers.
